Texas Fever

Band Profile

The State of Texas has long been considered a trendsetter in the world of country music, and artists from this state have continually set the standards for country music performances.  Since 1979 TEXAS FEVER, featuring DEBORAH LYNN and DAVE CLARK, has been entertaining country music audiences at dances, concerts and private parties all over the Lone Star State and their popularity continues to grow.  Thoroughly modern and professional, TEXAS FEVER features country and western music, both contemporary and traditional, as well as material from the pop, rock and roll, and rhythm and blues fields.  This versatile combination has made them favorites at many of the larger clubs popular in the CenTex area.  In addition, these talented performers have opened concerts for such luminaries as Randy Travis, Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Jr., Keith Whitley, Gary Stewart, Bobby Bare, Mickey Gilley, Charly McClain, Jerry Lee Lewis, Janie Fricke, Con Hunley, Reba McEntire, Steve Wariner, Roy Clark, The Kendalls, John Conlee, Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Dave & Sugar, Rob Crosby, Bellamy Brothers, Les Taylor, Prairie Oyster, Joe Stampley, Collin Ray, Earl Thomas Conally, Leroy Parnell, Gene Watson and Ray Price, to name but a few. DAVE CLARK is a tall and lanky East Texan with a voice as big as the piney woods from that part of the state.  This man can belt out a song in any style you can imagine, and yet always sounds unique.  In addition, his guitar playing sizzles in all types of music from country to rock to soul and his popular Texas style crooning has been compared favorably to the likes of Ray Price and Darrell McCall, with whom Dave has frequently worked in the past.  DEBORAH LYNN is an enticingly glamorous woman whose vocal style exhibits power and maturity and is a talent of extraordinary depth and sensitivity, able to wrench every drop of emotion from a ballad or every ounce of guts from a “rocker”.  Her beauty is a natural compliment to her impressive singing.  The award winning steel guitarist, bassist and drummer, with their diverse backgrounds in the music profession, blend together so effectively that fans of Texas Music, as well as folks who just plain love to dance, flock to their performances. The future is wide open for DEBORAH LYNN, DAVE CLARK & TEXAS FEVER, and they hope you all can be a part of it.
